Welcome to our new students! 

August 2015

The children had an exciting and fun-filled summer – they participated in science experiments, gardening, creative arts and music.  They had a blast creating their body doubles, learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion by creating their own balloon powered cars and learning about solar energy from a 20 feet solar balloon.  The children also enjoyed the visiting animals from the Greenburgh Nature Center located in Scarsdale, and had a blast dancing and clapping to the music of the famous child entertainer, Kurt Gallagher who visited us for our end-of-summer entertainment.

May 2015
Congratulations to our students for a job well done!  The children worked hard at practicing their songs, dances and poetry for the Spring 2015 Concert.  Their wonderful talents were enjoyed and applauded by family members and friends.  Please see photos.

March 2015
Our students and parents had a great time learning to ski on the Day Ski Trip this past Saturday.  Please see photos.

The 2015 Spring Concert will be held on Friday, May 1st at 6:30pm.

February 2015
CONGRATULATIONS to Ashley Hollingsworth and Avantika Makthal.  Ashley was accepted into the prestigious Hackley School, located in Tarrytown for Fall 2015.  Avantika was accepted into the equally prestigious Ethical Culture Fieldston School for Fall 2015.  Great job!!

Day Ski Trip 2015 - a day ski trip is planned for Saturday, March 21st, 2015.  All are welcomed to join us.

December 2014
Congratulations to the children on a wonderful performance at the 2014 Christmas Concert.  The children sang beautiful Christmas songs, performed classical poetry by William Woodsworth Longfellow and various other classic poets.  Congratulations to Natisse Cruz who performed an enchanting dance to Celine Dion's Ave Maria.  A free raffle was held at intermission for three lovely food baskets.  Congratulations to the winners.  Yummy!!

Ashley and Leah Hollingsworth performed with the infamous John Senakwamie at Lincoln Center in December.

Annual Christmas Concert  2014  -- Will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 -- more information to come.

Halloween Party - October 2014   Our annual costume party will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014.  Pizza, cookies and ice cream will be served.

August 2014
The children enjoyed meeting our special guest Olivia Boisson of the New York City Ballet, on Friday, August 22, 2014.  Olivia taught a mini-ballet class to the children.

Summer 2014
The Summer Program 2014, ended on Friday, August 22nd.  The children had an awesome time learning, exploring, experimenting and testing scientific principals, planting a vegetable and herb garden, and enjoying the result of their efforts - tasty veggies!!.  Our traditional Nocturnal Adventure was a blast and enjoyed by all.  Photos will be uploaded by mid-September 2014.

Book Reading Friday, August 1, 2014:  Edwin Roman, Special Guest
Mr. Edwin Roman, the illustrator of the children’s book, “Symmy the Square” will be our special guest this Friday, August 1st, 2014. Mr. Roman will be reading the book “Symmy the Square” to our children. Mr. Roman earned his first baccalaureate degree from John Jay College in Political Science, and a second baccalaureate degree in painting from Lehman College. Mr. Roman also won an award for photography from the American Society of Contemporary Artists, and had his art work featured in an Emmy-nominated documentary on domestic violence. His paintings and photography have also been featured in several group shows.  I am sure the children will be excited to meet Mr. Roman, as they have learned about authors and illustrators from their many readings. Your child may bring an invited guest to the book reading. We are also very proud to inform you that Mr. Roman is the uncle of one of our students, Natisse Cruz. You may visit Mr. Romans website at to view and/or purchase his many paintings, photographs and illustrations. You may purchase “Symmy the Square” from 

June 2014

Congratulation to Ashley Hollingsworth -- Ashley, age 6, performed a classical piano piece at Lincoln Center  in New York City, under the tutelage of John Senakwami of The Senakwami Music Institute,, in Harrison, New York.  Mr. John as he is known, is a renowned pianist and vocal instructor.  Ashley received great accolades for her outstanding performance.

May 2014
Congratulations to Cameron Archer, age 5.  Cameron who was to attend kindergarden at The Chapel School, in the Fall 2014, will be skipped to 1st grade because of her reading score and overall academic achievement and social development.  Cameron reading score placed her at a 2nd grade reading level.  Job well done Cameron!!

April 2014
Congratulations to Taylor Hendrickson -- Taylor was accepted at Rippowam Cisqua and The Whitby School in Connecticut.
Cameron Hendrickson was accepted at The Whitby School in Connecticut, and wait-listed for Hackley, Rye Country Day and Horace Mann.

2014 Spring Concert:  The children did a wonderful job at the 2014 Spring Concert.   Natalia Copil, age 6,  performed a beautiful  dance  to "Butterfly Kisses".  Although Natalia has not taken formal dance lessons in her young life, she gave an awesome performance.   Congratulations to Natalia - You did it!!  
Natisse Cruz gave an outstanding dance performance to The Music Box.  Great job Natisse!! We are all proud of you.  The children recited classic spring poems by Gwendolyn Brooks, Audrey Coatesworth, Robert Louis Stevenson, Williams Woodsworth Longfellow, Ken Nesbitt and other classic poets.  They sang traditional and classic songs from The Sound Of Music, songs by The Carpenters, the Beatles, ABBA and various artists.   Congratulations to a job well done.   Please see photos - Spring 2014 Concert.  

March 2014
Congratulations to Taylor and Cameron Hendrickson -- both Cameron and Taylor placed 2nd in the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee in two separate categories.  Cameron, age 5, a kindergartener, placed 2nd in the Honey Bees test (K-1st grade) and Taylor placed 2nd in the Worker Bees.  Cameron was the only Kindergarten student to score higher than all the 1st graders, except one.  They will be honored by The Greenburgh Town Board and the Town Supervisor, Paul Feiner on March 26.  See website:  Great job Cam!!

January 6, 2014
Congratulations to Cameron and Taylor Hendrickson -- both Cameron and Taylor scored in the 98 Percentile Rank on the ECAA nationwide test.  The ECAA test which is administered by the ERB (EducationalRecords Bureau) is a test most private schools use as an evaluation tool and a vital part of their admissions process.  In addition, both Cameron and Taylor received outstanding recommendations from their interviewer.

December 2013
Congratulations to the children on a wonderful performance at the 2013 Christmas Concert.  After the concert, culinary delights, provided by our wonderful parents was enjoyed by all.  Yummy!!

Congratulations to Ashley Hollingsworth, age 4.  Ashley performed at Lincoln Center, singing a traditional Christmas song.  Congratulations also goes out to Cameron and Taylor Hendrickson, who also performed traditional Christmas songs.

August 2013
The children enjoyed a wonderful summer - sports week was a blast -  science week was intriguing - they enjoyed science experiments, gardening, flying kites, learning to roller blade, tennis, golf, the visiting animals from the Greenburgh Nature Center, but especially our traditional Nocturnal Night, where they sang camp songs, played games and made delicious, mouth-watering smores -- hail to Summer 2013!   At the end of the summer they enjoyed a wonderful Carnival with their friends, playing games and participating in sporting events.

Congratulations to Cameron Hendrickson, age 4, for her wonderful performance at Lincoln Center on April 6, 2013.  Cameron received a standing ovation for her singing performance.  
Natisse Cruz, age 4, was accepted at three of the top private preparatory schools in the United States, the Hackley School in Tarrytown, Thornton Donovan, and Rye Country Day, for Fall 2013.  Only a small percentage of applicants who apply are accepted.  Congratulations to the Cruz family – well deserved‼ Tough decision!!
Congratulation to our aspiring singer, Cameron Hendrickson, age 4, who will be performing with The Senakwami Chorus at Lincoln Center this April 2013.

Ashley Hollingsworth, age 4, performed at the White Plains Performing Arts Center this past December 2012, with the famous John Senakwami and The Senakawami Chorus.  Ashley an aspiring pianist, performed a traditional Christmas song on the piano with Mr. Senakawami.  Congratulations Ashley Hollingsworth!
